Some will visit the moon, others will depart for deep space, but all of these tiny spacecraft will have one thing in common: small antennas capable of supporting big science. Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT) potentials in geodesy are mostly connected to VLBI tech-niques and they may have a remarkable impact on both national and international geodetic science. A development plan concerning geodetic technical instrumentation should be pro-vided soon, so as to perform geodetic observations with the SRT in the near future.

In a collaborative effort, the Lewis Center for Educational Research in Apple Valley, California , the Apple Valley Unified School District, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and NASA have converted a 34-meter antenna at NASA's Deep Space Network's Goldstone Complex into a unique interactive research and teaching instrument available to classrooms throughout the United States
